Longdreamer Shamans -_-

So far in Zafaria I have made it to Zamunda (again taking it slow) and I believe I have almost completed the area. There is one very annoying enemy though. The Longdreamer Shamans make me want to rip my hair out. Almost every quest (in mid to late Zamunda) is fighting them. The worst part is that almost all of these are collection quests. Many people thought the lions were trouble honestly I had no problem with them. These elephants fit the Fire Lion Ravager descriptions. I wonder if people confuse the two? Anyway see ya in the Spiral!

Zafaria Progress

Hi guys I know I haven't posted in a while because I've been busy but I have been keeping up with all the news. Its been about a week since Zafaria was released and many are already done! I have been taking it slow and haven't made it to the Savannah yet due to the fact that I want this content to last. Honestly I love Zafaria the entire update was full of good. I can't seem to find a negative point other then no new school pets. I'll be back into the posting cycle during December so See ya in the Spiral!

Halloween House,Test Realm Maintenance,What I'm Reading

Hi guys anyway I'm working on a house for Halloween. In school we recently watched Sleepy Hollow[Disney Version(due to me begging my teacher)]. If you don't know the story, watch it on Youtube. I'm really excited about this house and it should be done in about two weeks. I am currently using the Wooded Cottage but I'm open to suggestions. If you guys think I should do it in a different house please comment about it. I'm also wondering why they shut down the test realm. Its probably for maintenance but for all we know it could be much more(I hope so). See ya in the Spiral!

Burn Fairies Burn

Sorry about not posting for a while, if you haven't heard there are new pets in the crown shop! One of which includes a Fire Fairy thing. I can't wait to see the talents on Petnome. Anyway I was just posting to let you know that I'm alive!See ya in the Spiral!

As you all know on September 11th 2001, planes crashed into each World Trade Center, another into the Pentagon, and finally one in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. On this tragic day over 3000 people died. Resulting in one of the most tragic days in American history. As the tenth anniversary rolls by please pause to remember all of the people who perished in the horrific attacks as well as the courageous first responders who worked tirelessly in its aftermath.

New Beginnings

To me tomorrow is school. Back to homework, teachers, students, and learning. I don't hate school but I don't love it. The main reason is homework and (some) students are horribly mean. A new school year is also full of new beginnings. Its almost like your a chalkboard and your erased just to start getting wrote on again. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that adventure. I don't think I ever will be. The mix of emotions kills me but I have to ignore it. Each year makes me a better person. That's what I look forward to the most. Last year I learned to never give up hope, no matter how bad things may seem you'll always bounce back as long as you give yourself the chance to. "You have to be strong. Strength of heart will carry you through the hardest of trials."-Terra (Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep). I know that tonight when I go to bed I won't be able to sleep. Not because I'm scared but because I know that this year will change my life in some way. I may not know what that way may be but I won't go searching for it, I know it'll come to me. Never give up hope.

Winner of the Fairy Wing Contest!

Congratulations Alric Ravensinger for an amazing design! Here is the design and paragraph.

This is the Woodland Warrior outfit which is designed based off of Grizzleheim Warriors. I decided to go with a more rugid look for a few reasons. One we always have had the image of elves and fairies as divine beauty and power I wanted to show fairies can kick some tail too. What inspired this? Well actually a neat book series called Fablehaven the fairies there are typical in the sense of vanity and extreme beauty. But when there Queen calls to arms these fairies show their prowess in battle. The armor itself is made of precious Mithril while other parts such as the Pauldron and shirt are made or hand carved from sturdy wood. The sword is made of Iron, Leather. and Wood but don't let that deter you it's a dangerous weapon in the hands of a fairy. I opted for no boots or headdress the boots were simple this fairy flies into battle. The headdress well I believe most helmets are clunky and would obscure her vision. As for her pet I had intended to draw a Sprite pet (As seen in the game) but I thought that would take away from the main drawing itself so I gave her a Sprite pet but more in the likeness of a Will-O-Wisp. I hope you liked my design and best of luck to all the participants. 

Though Alric's design was not in game I never said it had to be ;). There was so many great entries that it was so hard choosing just one. I'd also like to give a surprise prize to the runner up which was Heather Raven! Here's her outfit and paragraph!

In autumn all the leaves are turning from deepest of greens to the vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange. It is the season of the harvest. Farmers are hurrying to get the crops in before the first frost. The harvest fairy and her frosty companion travel the countryside, enriching the harvest with the last beams of summer sun before dusting them with dewy frost. On her head she wears a wide brimmed hat to protect her from the sun, rain, and to keep her warm in the chilly dawn hours when she works. Her robe, with its slight cape, flutters in the breeze. The bright contrast is as striking as the turning colors on the trees. Sturdy boots keep her toes safe from the elements and the muddy fields when she tends the crops. A symbol of her magic—a gift from the harvest is always by her side, be it a bunch of grapes, a cornucopia of apples, or today an ear of corn.

The Fantastically Fabulous Fluttering Fairy Wing Contest!

Hi guys well as you can see from the title of the post I'm going to be giving away some fairy wings to one of you reading this post! Okay I'm just going to get right to the rules. Shirataki Temple:Divide and Conquer

  Shirataki Temple is one of the most beautiful dungeons in the game and is a unique one too. "As you emerge from the dense bamboo forest you see a small lake with a quaint island in the middle, but above it lies a temple carved into a rock face from the purest jade in Mooshu. How could a place so beautiful and pure be the place of the Plague Oni? As you approach the temple you vow to make things right by defeating the monster, but Wave bringer has conjured up a force field of storm magic preventing you from advancing further. After a few quests you find the final task to destroy the force field, to purify four temples of Spirit, Earth, Air, and Fire." Now this is my favorite part. The cool thing about this dungeon is that its the only dungeon in the main storyline that allows you to separate from the group and take things upon your own hands to purify the temple. Since there are four temples that allows groups of four to tackle all the temples simultaneously. No other dungeon makes you do four different tasks where each can be completed by one person. When you separate it feels as if the entire group is counting on you to do your task. Which most try very hard to accomplish. I know the post didn't have too much relevance to anything but I just felt like sharing this with everyone. See ya in the Spiral!

Tiny Moodha, Mason in the Krokosphinx, and Story Discontinued

Hi wizards this morning new housing items came into the spiral! I'm not going to list them here, go log in and see them yourself. All of them are in the crowns shop.(Note that the Moodha statue is tiny!) Also I think I'm going to discontinue the story I had a great plan for it but I really couldn't organize a true plot for it. I'll just give you a quick peek at what the plot was. After dying the characters find themselves in the Spiral where they talk to Merle and Gamma and find out what school of magic they are. Suddenly they all wake up in a Hospital where they realize they almost died but Merle saved them, They eventually venture between the Spiral and Earth combating evil on both worlds. I really couldn't think of a good plot for a villain so we'll just stop the fan-fiction maybe I'll restart it sometime. Lastly Mason has made it to the Krokosphinx. When your playing a storm wizard everything seems to go a lot faster. I'm almost level 20 and I have some great gear for Mason when he finally reaches the level. (If your wondering about Cody since I haven't posted about him in about 8 months he's in the grand chasm, almost finished with it actually) See ya in the Spiral!

Guardians of the Spiral Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Wildfire- Jason raced through the forest avoiding the flames that engulfed the area. The fire seemed to leap at him like a Cougar attacking a Deer. All of it was spreading rapidly. What had started as a simple camping trip had turned into a nightmare. He and his parents had gone on a monthly camping trip in the Sierra Nevada mountains. He had gone out to look for some wood to burn a fire but out of nowhere smoke covered the area. He started running and had been running ever since. But then he suddenly stopped running. He had ran to the edge of a cliff and was cornered if he stayed the shock from the fire would probably tumble him off. Jason's mind raced, should he stand his ground or run straight into the brilliant orange flames that had covered the normally peaceful and quaint landscape. The fire was approaching fast and he had to act fast. So without thinking Jason ran away from the cliff straight into the flames.His body was overwhelmed with heat and there was no part that didn't ache. He was losing sense of where he was. His mind started going into shutdown mode he knew this was it there was no escape he was dying and there was no stopping the fire. He closed his eyes and prepared to die he hoped his family would be fine without him and as his last moments approached him he quickly smiled and then everything went black.
Chapter 2:Blizzard: Nicole huddled next to the run down shack it was too small to enter and it looked unstable anyway. Nicole was on a simple skiing trip with her school but then she and her friend had gotten lost on the mountain, A storm soon set in and they had to huddle next to this shack. Her friend Erin had gone to find help 2 days ago but she had never returned, it had now been 3 days alone in a blizzard with no food or water. Frostbite was slowly killing Nicole and the blizzard had no intention of stopping. She was persistent though, she would try to live as long as she could but she knew it couldn't be too much longer. Her heart was beating slower and slower by the second. Her fingers were purple and she was homesick. Her mother had advised her not to go on this trip, she had always been right why hadn't she realized that. Her body was slowly warming up which meant she had hypothermia too another problem. She knew her time was up she wanted to go and find Erin but she had no strength. The best thing she could was close her eyes fall asleep and hope for death. She pondered the thought for a few minutes as she constantly shivered. She finally laid back on the snow and closed her eyes for what would be the very last time.

Roasted Halfang with a Side of Grilled Raven

Hi guys sorry for not posting in a while. Anyway on to today's post, I'm going to tell you about one of my favorite bosses. So get ready for story(maybe poem) time.

             Once there was a pig who was very mean

In no way was he lean

His friend a Raven stood at his side

Little did they know they both would be fried. 

The raven escaped abandoning his friend

Soon after that Halfang met his end

100 years later the Raven returned

To share some exciting news he had learned

A group called the Coven were going to rise from the shadows

And no he had not hear this on the radio

A wizard suddenly came and ran in

Challenging Halfang to face the beasts from whiten

The battle raged for a few minutes so 

Halfang was roasted, wizard destroying his foe

If you haven't guessed what boss I'm talking about then your answer is Halfang! This guy is in Vestrilund and has studied in the school of storm with his raven friend being myth. Both he and his bird brain friend have less then 2000 health and AMAZING drops. Some of the amulets he drops sell up to 12000 gold a piece! In about 45 minutes my gold went from 17000 to 90000. Here are some pictures of me and Heather Raven farming him this morning.

How to Get Started in the Community

I'm sure somewhere in the spiral there are wizards who want to get involved with the community they might not know how so any wizards who are fit comfortably into the Wizard 101 community can skip this post.

1.Join Diary of a Wizard Connect X-A lot of wizards are on this site and many of them are deeply involved with the community. Here you can meet new people all the time.

2.Join Wizard 101 Central-This site is a forum for the game. Just by reading threads you learn a lot all the time. Even experts learn here

3.-Start a Blog-Blogs are great way to express your feeling individually. Then people get to know you better!

4.-Go to Parties-Usually there is at least one party a week. These parties are great places to meet new people and say hi to old friends!

5.-Listen to Ravenwood Radio-Ravenwood Radio is a podcast about Wizard 101. Its a great place to learn new things and see different perspectives. Its also fun to chat in the chat room.

6.-Host a Party-Hosting a party is a great way to meet new people but try to make sure it has at least a week notice!

7.Help Out in the Petnome-Help the community by putting your pets Talents into the Petnome, so then everyone will be able to get the perfect pet!

8-Join Twitter and Facebook-If your parents let you join Twitter and/or Facebook again its a great way to connect with other wizards!

The Story

I finally have a preview of "the story" the title is still secret for soon the first chapter will be up. Here is the preview!
 "Keith looked at the the shimmering water the sun glistened of it's smooth edges it cascaded through the Cave like an ocean. Why had he dropped the key. There was only one way to get it back, diving. He looked at Peanut for motivation but he just cowered back. Keith was alone on this challenge. He took a step back he felt as if his head was swelling due to the tension build up. Suddenly Peanut bit his leg and he suddenly fell in. The water was cool as it passed onto Keith's face, the tension was dissolving presently. Then he saw it right at the bottom, the beautiful silver key. He only had a small amount of time before he would have to surface so he swam down like a storm shark. He was getting closer and closer till he saw a lightning bolt come straight at him. He swerved and it hit his hip the pain was immense but the sight he saw next was worse. A 10 foot tall kraken was looming near the key. Keith remembered that Liu Dong had said that krakens lurked in the water. Like dragons they hoarded treasure and that was what the key was. Then he realized the kraken sent another lightning bolt at him. It hit him right in the neck. Only then did he realize he was drowning."

A Movie For All Wizards

As you all know Wintertusk has come to the Spiral to help you get into the mood you should see "Thor". The movie relates so much to the Norse Mythology we deal with in Wizard 101, theres even Frost Giants. I recommended this movie for all Wizards out there especially right now since we're all in the viking mood. See ya in the Spiral!

Get Ready!

Get your Wizards into coats bundle up your pets and get those wands ready. Wintertusk is coming into the live game tomorrow. The game will be offline from 12 to 7 A.M. for Kingsisle to input this amazing update. So many new things are being added I can't wait. Read the update notes on the Wizard 101 website for full details. One of the best things(In my opinion) is the level 58 pets we've all been waiting for. The Wintertusk storyline is supposed to be amazing, can't wait to play through it(but first I have to stop being lazy and finish up Ravenscar). I'm going to Niagara Falls from Thursday-Sunday so I might not be able to post. I have a story coming up that I hope you'll like. Just a little hint about the plot(in riddle form) "The Waves have not settled in the land of life, for death is falling upon many who wander around day or night, what is wrong with the land could this be the work of a spirits hand? One wizard from the rice fields must take a stand lest shadows of plague shall destroy the village and cropland." I hope it sounds interesting when I reveal the title you'll be saying "are you serious, thats the most pathetic title ever" but I tried to make it sound a little comical. Anyway see you in Wintertusk!

To the One Who Started It All........

As most in the spiral have found out Friendly is temporarily leaving. Friendly has inspired us all with his wonderful posts that can't be matched. Its sad to see him leave but things change its something you have to deal with. The community will never be the same without him but who knows maybe a level 1 wizard who just started playing will be the next to guide the community. So many people are leaving but so many new people are coming into the Spiral. Friendly started it all so all of us together as one united Spiral of not friends but family will carry on his legacy.

Pet Rocks!

As many of you have heard a new pet has recently come to the spiral here is the information straight from Kingsisle!

Pet Rock Instructions and Care Your Pet Rock So, by now you most likely have a pet rock. If not, this pet can be found in the Crown Shop. So if you have a pet rock we can move on. In this manual we will go over the training and care taking of your rock so lets begin........ Training I recommend starting to train your pet rock at a very young age, this will make your pet more powerful. Beyond training your pet in the Pet Pavilion, rocks are such intelligent beings that they are born knowing tricks. Here I will mention what your pet can do.... Sit - Your pet will sit all on its own, you don't have to teach it to sit. Stay - Your pet rock will always stay at your side. Run - When you run, your pet will run beside you. Simple care We will now go over simple care for your rock. Bathing Run your pet rock through the Wizard City Pond occasionally, and higher level Wizards can swim with it in Celestia. This will keep the pet rock clean. Feeding  The pet rock is a very easy pet to take care of, just feed it after every pet mini-game in the Pet Pavilion to make sure it has enough nutrients to stay healthy. Walking Your pet rock will get lots of exercise following beside you as you explore the Spiral! If you are on a mount, don't worry your pet rock is safely tucked inside your backpack. If you don't feel your pet rock is getting enough exercise, you can always place it in your house. Dueling Your pet rock comes with a very powerful card, and it will be happy to assist you in duels! Sleep For your pet rock I do recommend sleep. Your pet rock will sleep when you are offline. Health Note: if you want him to go get a checkup at the doctor, dont be worried when they say theres no heart beat. Dr. Purreau will be very happy to give your adult pet rock a clean bill of health for hatching purposes! Keep your pet rock happy and healthy, and it will be your best friend! See ya in the Spiral!

Connections:Gardening

This is a new segment I will be doing in some of my posts called connections. It will be connecting Wizard 101 to real life. I'm going to start with gardening.
    Gardening is a fairly new update released last December. Now I won't go into what gardening is and how you do it because chances are you know it better then me. Now as everyone's noticed the plants in Wizard 101 are crazy,weird, and magical. For example the snapdragon which looks very nice in real life, but in Wizard 101 they look just like their name insists.Red dragons with wings and a stem rooted in the ground. Another plant that exists in both real life and Wizard 101 are baby carrots. Baby carrots are necessarily smaller carrots but in Wizard 101 this goes a step forward. In the game baby carrots wear diapers and are constantly crying. You even feel sad for them at times.My final example is the dandelion. Its a pesky plant that invades backyards in summer and leaves white seeds everywhere. When dandelions start out they're a nice yellow flower but again in Wizard 101 its a step forward. There is those same nice yellow flower petals but in the middle is th face of lion it actually looks a little sad. Quick thing in real life plants lean towards sunlight but in Wizard 101 they lean towards you. Maybe this says your the sun of the game? Anyway thats it for the first connections.Happy Gardening!

Celestia Conquered

I finally beat the Trial of Spheres and the world of Celestia. I was in sort of a dry spell throughout December,January,and the beginning of February. Big thanks to Amber Rosepetal and Destiny Mistshard for all there help in the dungeon. Now it going to be even harder to find topics to post about. So anyway all of you have seen the countdown timer so theres no point talking about that. Tonight's Ravenwood Radio is going to be one you don't want to miss.See ya in the Spiral!

My new laptop just came in the mail as many of you know my old Laptop has been experiencing problems for over a year so heres to a new Laptop!

We're very excited to tell you about the upcoming Wizard101 World: Wintertusk!

Wintertusk will complete the epic storyline that began with Grizzleheim and will offer new things to do, and areas to explore for all levels of young Wizards.

Along with Wintertusk, we will also be launching new spells and new level 58 class pets for each main school of focus. We will also be bringing back the underwater area of the Crab King in sunken Triton Avenue, to tell a story about life in Crab Alley after the departure of Selena Gomez. 

Have a sneak peek at Grandmother Raven, and for those of you following the story, Grandmother Raven's appearance will solve many outstanding mysteries of the Spiral!

I'm Finished with Celestia!(:Almost:) and Update Notes

I'm almost done with Celestia! I started working hard and got through the Crab Empire and the Solarium(thanks John Lifeglen!) Now all I have to do is finish the Trial of Spheres. (I'm also level 60!) (I think I'm overusing parenthesis in this post) I'm planning to do it this weekend because I have exams this week so after school I'm too tired. The test realm has also gone live with Celestia Housing! Read the update notes here. I'm probably not going to cast the Celestia Observatory but I still love that its there. The blog will be revamped soon maybe by the time you read this post. Also only 15 more days to my birthday. Last but not least Pokemon Black and White are coming out on Sunday (big fan since the beginning I even have the original games) so I'm super excited for that.

Wizards Gone

In the past few weeks we have lost a lot of great players.Including the bloggers of Wizard 101 Information  (Dustin and David) and Leesha of Ravenwood Radio. With the amazing Fallon Deathslinger now joining Stephen. All wizards whether active or not will always have a place in the community's heart.I wish a fond farewell to them and good luck.

Have you ever thought.......

Have you ever thought what it would be like without sunlight. No sun on you when your next to a window. Its radiance not shining on your shoulder when you take a walk. The world would be so different without the sun nothing could exist. No real meaning to this post just wanted to share this thought with you guys. For some reason that word keeps echoing in my head, sun sun sun.
